was just browsing some old photos on my computer when i stumbled across this. thought it was worth sharing.
You see, I had just finished cutting down the apple tree in the backyard and I needed a way to get rid of all the branches. Since my maxima was already gutted, I had the perfect transportation tool at my disposal. You know I’m getting the funny feeling that I did a blog post on this years ago… I guess that’s what happens when you don’t save the old stuff.

I was recently in Turkey and thought I’d share a couple of my favourite photos along with a couple funny impressions. First the photos.

I’ll finish with one that gives you more of an idea just what I was doing in Turkey.

And now a few quirky things I observed while I was there.
1. They put french fries in their sandwiches and burgers. (I kinda liked it, would have been better if they weren’t hours old and super soggy).
2. They have bus stops at the side of a multi-lane divided freeway.
3. You can never eat too many Döner sandwiches.
I thought I had more to say, but that’s it for now…

Last Friday I had a day off work and Jen and I decided to take Clark to the zoo. I think we had more fun seeing the animals than he did as he was most excited by the splash pad and of course any motorized vehicles. (Can I hear a “vroom vroom” Clark?) Here are a few of my favourite pictures of the day.

So we were enjoying dinner one night last week and Clark is chowing down on some spaghetti when grandma decides to ask, “Why doesn’t Clark get any pasta sauce”. The next evening for dinner my wife must have been feeling adventerous and I decided to take a few photos. Needless to say, this is why Clark doesn’t get any pasta sauce Grandma.

This weekend we were out visiting Jen’s parents at their house on Lake Erie. Dad spotted a beaver beside the water so I ran to grab my camera and swap lenses. He let me get pretty close so I got some pretty good shots. I think this is the only time I’ve seen a beaver, excluding television and zoos… how canadian is that?
without rambling any further here is the culprit. click on either of the images to proceed to flickr…

Just got back from an amazing trip to the caribbean. We went on a 7 day cruise with carnival and went to the following islands: Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Dominica, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Kitts. Our day at St. Kitts was probably one of my favourites. The views were totally unreal!!

We saw the island the best possible way. On 2 wheels. Granted a Ninja or R6 would have been more fun but we had to make due with a Yamaha BWS. It’s a 50cc 2 stroke and surprisingly it had enough power to pull the 2 of us up all the hills. That is if you considering 20km/h doing the job, LOL.

Other highlights include Magen’s Bay on St. Thomas:

and the beaches of Barbados:

and Antigua:

Of course you can see the whole photoset on flickr

wow, looks like i forgot to make a blog post for 4 months. whoops! hmmm what is new??? All 3 of us got the flu last weekend, that was a rotten experience. At least we did it in shifts, Clark and I getting sick at roughly the same time, and then Jen got sick when we were mostly better. The other good part was that is was at least a week before we are set to leave on a cruise to the southern carribbean. We’re totally stoked about that!!! I’ll probably post some photos here when we get back just to give you something to look forward to.

Thanks to my friend Jeff and his mean photo editing skills, Clark looks like one bad dude…
“[10:36:38 AM] Jeff says: but seriously though, I wouldn’t want to run into Clark in a dark alley”
